Jeff's first career took them to several states, where they were exposed to different design styles, trends, and vernaculars. These states included their home state of Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee. In 2016, they relocated to Spartanburg, South Carolina and have since put down roots. Jeff and Shelly take their love of the southeast with its rich southern tradition, color stories and gracious design heritage into creating homes that bring an updated appeal and adapted character to a new generation of homeowners. Their desire to capture a collected and classic feel by drawing from both vintage and modern elements with a backdrop of timeless and enduring structural elements has been at the forefront of their design aesthetic. 

Even though the Brockelmans have spent a lot of time in the design world Shelly has been a realtor since 2019 and Jeff has now transitioned to join her at Brockelman Realty. Obviously, moving has necessitated buying many homes and some of those changes of address were prompted by new dreams or family changes. They have been instrumental and inspirational in helping other people do the same. This dynamic team offers not only excellence in service by being both dependable and trustworthy but also honest and authentic. They don’t want to simply sell your house or sell you a house, they want to service your real estate needs and bring to bear the full scope of design services needed to turn your house into the home of your dreams.
